Christina & Andrí - A Luxury Wedding in Marbella

Shooting this wedding was kind of a special challenge for us.

Not because of the photos or the videos themselves, but a whole wedding in two different languages that none of us speaks a word at (Norwegian and Icelandic), that's a different kind of thing. And still, without understanding a word, we had tears in our eyes when these two young, beautiful people said "Yes, I do!".

Christina and Andrí decided to say "Yes!" in a small, Norwegian wedding chapel in La Cala close to Marbella. They were both so nervous, with hands shaking, tears rolling before the ceremony even started. Be sure, we were already crying together with them behind our cameras!

Other than in Spain, in the more Northern European countries, the cake cutting traditionally takes place already in the afternoon (in Spanish weddings they usually cut the cake way later after dinner). Also so at Christina's & Andrí's wedding. They hosted a small reception with champagne and other drinks in the church garden - which was really necessary because of the crazy June heat that day! So if you get married in the summer months, always make sure to have some drinks in between to keep people fresh and hydrated :)

Christina & Andrí chose the Lew Hoad Tennis Club close to Marbella as their wedding venue. They absolutely couldn't have made a better choice! It was the first wedding we ever shot there, but we can honestly say: It was fantastic! Even in comparison to the countless other wedding venues we've come to see over the last years. The location is gorgeous, the food was fabulous and all the providers were an absolute pleasure to work with (no payed advertisement, our honest opinion!). They all spoke English, too, which made the communication with guests and hosts so much easier than always translating (what we do a lot in other weddings!!!).

So if you happen to still looking for a venue, Lew Hoad definetely if worth considering.

During this wedding, we took a lot of time to shoot couple photos. And we loved that! No time pressure, multiple locations, many gorgeous photos of these two special people that capture their love perfectly. A little wild, a little luxury, a little romantic. They've got it all!

The highlight of the day was definitely the champagne tower that started the most epic party. We LOVED the moment, and we LOVED the photos and videos of it. One hundred percent recommendation to have one, if you want your party to be the glowing, shining end of your special day!
